Dr. Stanley & Wanda Smith

Doctor Smith is an ordained Elder in the African Methodist Episcopal Church. He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and educated in the Philadelphia School System. He is now the proud Pastor of Asbury A.M.E Church.

Before coming to Asbury, Dr. Smith previously pastured Hickman Temple of Phila., Pa., Bethel A.M.E. Church of Copiague, NY (where he was elected a Delegate to the General Conference), St. John A.M.E. Church of Niagara Falls, NY, and Allen A.M.E. Church of Oxford, Pa.  Prior to that, he was on staff as an associate minister at Bethel A.M.E. Church in Bryn Mawr, Pa., where he was also licensed to preach.

Dr. Smith’s theological training comes from the Moody Bible Institute, Eastern School of Ministry and Bible Deliverance School of Bible. He furthered his studies at Palmer Seminary (formerly, Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary) where he holds Master of Divinity degree and was Co-President of his graduating class.  He has completed Doctoral Studies at Andersonville Theological Seminary (ATS) and a Doctor of Biblical Counseling was conferred upon him. Additionally, he is continuing with Doctoral studies on another program track.

Dr. Smith has Been blessed not only to preach in the U. S. but also on the mother continent of Africa. He lives in Villanova and has been married to the lovely Wanda E. Smith for the last 39 years. They have been blessed with two wonderful children, Carlton Michael Smith, Esquire and Nicole Marie Smith. They have one grandchild, Mariah Nicole Smith.

One of Dr. Smith’s crown achievements was developing a Continuing Ed program for lay and ordained clergy at Niagara University. His favorite scripture is Psalm 23 “The Lord is my Shepherd I shall not want.”
